Alex Plakhotniuk · 20 case studies
All projects
Twenty case studies: product interfaces and websites with real screenshots, and production systems told with words and diagrams.
Systems (8)
Production systems shown as diagrams. Lender work is under NDA.
AI underwriting agent
A multi-agent shadow reviewer next to in-house underwriting. Walks the policy rule by rule, logs every tool call, never decides alone.
AI paystub screening
Vision extraction and deterministic checks catch bad documents before Plaid verification and tell borrowers what to re-upload.
ACH & card payments
Explicit states from submission to settlement; return codes map to a next step, retries only when checks pass.
Twilio Flex workflows
Co-developed outbound-call and customer-history workflows in Flex. AI reply drafting is presented separately in the Nova copilot case.
Alchemer reporting
Elasticsearch filters by question and answer across large response sets, with charts on the result.
Nova AI copilot
Streaming chat and grounded reply suggestions inside custom admin tools. Staff review the proposed reply before sending.
Real-time systems
Authenticated browser updates through Reverb and Echo, alongside Node WebSocket streaming and Redis pub/sub fan-out.
Messaging workers
Redis and Horizon workers on dedicated hosts for SMS and email sends.
SaaS / E-commerce (3)
SaaS, document and e-commerce platforms, told with words and diagrams.
EZ Estimate
Customers draw an area on a map, get a quote and see materials rendered on their own photo.
CIRM document platform
File-explorer document system, Meilisearch search and a form builder for a maritime association. Project lead.
B2B dropshipping
Shopify, WooCommerce and eBay sync plus PayPal and Stripe; 900+ hours.
Product UI (2)
Product interfaces with real screenshots: a digital-signage template builder and a website builder I co-founded.
Viewneo template builder
A visual builder for animated advertising screens: text, shape and image layers, fonts, colours, touch interaction, editable fields and HTML export. I led the front end of its rewrite from AngularJS to Vue.js 2, with components documented in Storybook.
